Chef Rafi is one of those lucky people who has always known his grown-up vocation. With a great grandfather who earned his living selling satay on the street, a grandfather who was a hospital chef and a mother who shared all her cooking secrets with him, it's no wonder Rafi has always been passionate about food – the flavours, the cooking, and how to coax a excellent dish out of the ingredients at hand.
The love of cooking has taken Rafi all around the world on an amazing culinary journey. He has apprenticed with famous and well-respected chefs and worked in 5-star kitchens, traveling from Langkawi to Ireland to London and back to
Kuala Lumpur.
When Rafi concocts food for the Apartment, you can see the influence of diverse cuisines. He cooks paella like how an Italian grandmother would, having learnt first-hand from a friend's grandmamma!
Chef Rafi brings to the Apartment a menu that is relaxed, fun to eat, colourful and well balanced. His favourite item on the menu? The Lemon Sole with chili & black olive tapenade served with thyme,
mash & rocket.
